Over the weekend, watching my parents' dog interact (minimally, mind you) with my dog, my mind kept going back to this specific entry.

Mallory's responsiveness to us and her ability to judge when to STOP and wait for us, as well as coming to us immediately (OK, except for the whole creek thing) was an amazing influence on Clara. C is more of an independent mind anyway, hence why I had my e-collar on her during that whole walk, and she has a solid obedience background. However, she has never been in a free-range farm-dog situation before, and by taking advantage of both her obedience AND the laws of social attraction, the experience was simply amazing to watch.

Thanks for the retrospective critical thinking :)
